Discover the five types of tickets available to visit Machu Picchu and choose the option that best suits your desires and your physical condition.

Currently, Peruvian authorities have implemented five types of tickets to Machu Picchu:

the “Machu Picchu Solo” ticket,
the ticket "Machu Picchu with Huayna Picchu",
the ticket “Machu Picchu with Montaña”,
the ticket "Machu Picchu with Huchuy Picchu"
and the ticket “Machu Picchu with Puente Inca”.

Each ticket offers the opportunity to explore the Inca archaeological site and capture iconic photos with the landscape of this wonder of the world as a backdrop.

Some also offer hikes to observe the entire site from the surrounding mountains.

To date, the time spent on site is not monitored.

The site is separated into sectors, it is forbidden to turn back (return to a previous sector) on the route of your ticket.


The “Machu Picchu Solo” ticket (circuit 1 and 2)

The ticket most widely chosen by visitors.

It allows you to take a complete tour of the archaeological site and also offers the possibility of taking emblematic photos from the area of the 'Casa del Guardián'. The tour allows you to admire structures such as the Casa del Guardián, the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Square, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Intihuatana, the Roca Sagrada, the Temple of the Condor, the Water Fountains and the Water Mirrors.

The ticket offers up to 9 available times.

Entry times are from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with one group per hour:
Group 1 – Entry from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.
Group 2 – Entry from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Group 3 – Entry from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Group 4 – Entry from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Group 5 – Entry from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Group 6 – Entry from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Group 7 – Entry from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Group 8 – Entry from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Group 9 – Entry from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.


The ticket "Machu Picchu with Huayna Picchu",

The 'Machu Picchu with Huayna Picchu' ticket is the most popular for those wishing to walk in addition to their visit to Machu Picchu. It allows you to explore the archaeological site of Machu Picchu and also offers the possibility of hiking to the summit of Huayna Picchu mountain. This ticket's tour allows you to admire structures such as the Roca Sagrada, the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of the Sun, the Water Fountains, the Water Mirrors and the Temple of the 3 Windows.

Entry is limited to 400 people per day, divided into 4 different times.

This ticket also has the option to hike to the Temple of the Moon, also called the Great Cave, which takes about an additional 2 hours.

Access to the Huayna Picchu mountain is authorized for people over 12 years old.

It is not recommended for people prone to vertigo.

Even if the ticket can be used alone, we recommend purchasing a second "Machu Picchu solo" ticket, which will allow you to access the classic circuit and in particular the 'Casa del Guardián', which allows you to take the photo card. of Machu Picchu.

The ticket “Machu Picchu with Montaña”,

This ticket offers you the opportunity to tour the archaeological site of Machu Picchu, including a hiking option to the summit of Machu Picchu mountain. You will be able to explore remarkable constructions such as the House of the Guardian, the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Square, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, the Water Fountains and the Mirrors of 'Water.

This is the only ticket that allows you to enter and exit Machu Picchu once. With a capacity of 400 visitors per day, access is divided into two times.

All ages are allowed to access the Machu Picchu mountain, making it a recommended experience for the whole family. We also recommend this hike as an alternative to the Huayna Picchu hike.

The ticket “Machu Picchu with Huchuy Picchu”

This ticket was recently created by Machu Picchu authorities.

It allows you to tour the archaeological site. It also allows you to take the recently inaugurated road to the Huchuy Picchu mountain.

The circuit allows you to appreciate constructions such as: the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of the Sun, the Water Fountains, the Water Mirrors and the Temple of the 3 Windows.

Huchuy Picchu is located on a small slope of the Huayna Picchu mountain. The hike to get there takes approximately 1 hour. It is therefore easier and more accessible than the latter.

The ticket “Machu Picchu with Puente Inca”

It allows you to tour the archaeological site. You can also hike to the Inca bridge at Machu Picchu.

The circuit allows you to appreciate constructions such as: the Main Square, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor, the Temple of the Sun, the Water Fountains, the Water Mirrors, the Temple of the 3 Windows and many others.

The hike to the Inca Bridge only takes about 30 minutes (1 hour each way). It’s an easy hike, open to all.
